From the beginning… Since 1973, Young, Nicholas, Branner & Phillips, LLP has focused on serving client needs with integrity and competency. Edward M. Young and Jack D. Nicholas began the firm in Harrisonburg, Virginia and it has continued to grow not only in size, but in experience and expertise. In the 1980s, J. Robert Branner and Richard E. Phillips joined the practice and the name was changed to reflect all four partners. Although the namesake partners retired in 2014, their partnership continues with David W. Black and Christopher R. Montgomery. Having started in 2002 & 2004, respectively, they look forward to continuing the distinguished service started by the founders. Our clientele consists of individuals, small and large businesses, and not-for-profit organizations. They range in industry from agriculture, fast food, manufacturing, to trucking, funeral homes, and construction. Our team… Today, YNBP is made up of two partners and twelve talented team members who are here to assist you in meeting your specific needs. Through continuing professional education and first-hand experience our team members steadily attain knowledge to guide you through the complexities of the current tax and accounting laws.
