Collins Accountancy Ltd is an accountancy practice that carries out bookkeeping, accountancy and tax services for small businesses. We take on financial record-keeping, prepare VAT returns, payroll, year-end accounts and tax returns. Collins Accountancy Ltd was launched in 2008, as Collins Bookkeeping & Accountancy, by qualified accountant Deborah Collins FMAAT. “I have over 20 years of experience working closely with business owners in several industry sectors. Things have moved on significantly since my first payroll calculations – made with a pencil, big blue Inland Revenue forms and tax tables. I now use the latest payroll, taxation and accountancy software, and online services for accounts and taxation. I have a firm commitment to continuing professional development, and have been actively involved in my professional body, the AAT’s local branch, as a volunteer, since 2010. The branch committee organises seminars for AAT members, to help us to keep our knowledge current. In 2011 our branch was awarded with the ‘Branch of the Year’ title. In March 2013 I became chair of the committee.” In 2014 Collins Accountancy Ltd joined the North East Chamber of Commerce.
