I’ve owned Business Services of Tucson since October 2011. My focus is the small business community, and I’m a member of Better Business of Southern Arizona, Local First Arizona, and the American Association of Notaries. LFA and BBB is a statewide group that advocates for locally owned and independently operated businesses. Clients benefit from my 30-plus years in accounting and management. I’ve worked in a wide range of industries, including architecture, engineering, environmental, government contracting, law, oil, publishing, Not-For-Profit, and transportation. My diversified background gives me a broad understanding of the business world and how it relates to your situation. During my corporate career, I handled numerous responsibilities. such as: Accounts receivable Accounts payable Cash forecasts Financial statements General ledgers Journal entries Payrolls Payroll taxes Software package installation and data conversion with QuickBooks Notary services I earned many recognition bonuses and “The Controller of the Year Award” from Perma-Fix Environmental, Inc. I also completed a Greenbelt in Six Sigma Lean Processes while employed at Honeywell International. My education includes earning MSAC in Accounting from Keller School of Management and a B.A. in management – with an accounting emphasis – from Webster University in St. Louis. and a minor in political science and earned paralegal certification. In addition to my university training, completed extra education classes at ADP, H&R Block, and General Motors University Finance College.
