Early 2010, Brightbook began as a basic method co-founders, James and Warwick used to keep track of their earnings and spending. Now, tens of thousands of accounting novices use it every day. We learned a massive amount about our users’ real day-to-day work challenges; how they use Brightbook, how it helps, and how it could help them more. Despite having attracted 55,000 users, we realised that to build The Product people really wanted meant starting again. The new Brightbook represents a new generation of accounting experience.
