Accountax School of Business is a not-for-profit educational institution organized in the State of Illinois. We have been in operation since 2002 offering a variety of academic and vocational programs to students and professionals. The school is approved, by the Illinois State Board of Education, as a not-for- profit private high school providing secondary education for grades 9-12 and College and Career Readiness as a part of the career education requirement for high school graduation. Our elementary and secondary curricula are offered on line and on site. The curriculum was designed for students who are not benefiting from the traditional public school curriculum or public school environment. The programs are also designed for adult learners who have not completed their high school graduation requirements. In addition to being recognized by the Illinois State Board of Education, we also hold licenses and certifications with the following agencies: • The Internal Revenue Service- As a Continuing Education Provider • The Illinois State Board of Education- As a Professional Development Provider • The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations- As a Continuing Professional Education Provider • The State of Tennessee- As a Continuing Professional Educations Provider • The State of Tennessee- As a Continuing Legal Education Provider Our goal is to provide a curriculum that will continue to educate and enhance the skills, provide a free learning environment for the non-traditional student, and encourage each student to pursue their endeavors. Our vision is to provide the tools needed for students to transition into adulthood or transition to the next level of their career. We partner with private and governmental organizations, colleges, and universities providing educational incentives, motivational activities, and lifelong skills to students who would otherwise not have the opportunity to succeed. Our curriculum consists of: • Elementary and secondary Education Grades 9-12 • Vocational Education • Elementary- In The School Program/ After School Programs- Including Summer Camps • College and Career Readiness • Continuing Education • Continuing Legal Education Our curriculum is designed to: • Broaden employment related skills. • Increase opportunities for employment or making career changes. • Enhance the potential for succeeding at higher level educational institutions • Encourage self- development
